Malaysia Era FM apologises for video mocking Hindu faith.

PETALING JAYA
DJs from Era FM’s 3 Pagi Era show have apologised for a controversial video that mocked the Hindu kavadi dance, a sacred ritual performed during Thaipusam in devotion to Lord Muruga.

The video, which has now been removed from the station’s social media platforms, showed the DJs mimicking the kavadi dance while chanting “Vel Vel” and laughing.

In a post on Era FM’s Instagram account, Nabil Ahmad, Azad Jasmin, and Radin Amir Affendi Ahmad Aruani apologised for the video and acknowledged that it was insensitive, especially towards the Indian community.
